I like to chat with my friends on messenger and occasionally, when typing gets boring, we send voice messages instead. However, the only microphone I have is a rather bulky stereo-mic with reams and reams of cable which gets all over the place and just isn’t suited to being used with a laptop.

Instead I jammed together my own rather handy little microphone using a tin can and some bits I had lying around.

I don’t have any photos of the mic actually being made, just the final product. It’s a simple build so there aren’t many steps, but if you’d like more photos just ask. It gives me an excuse to make another one!
