Chris writes in looking for a bit of help for his dumpster procured Electone E-50 -
I found this Electone E-50 in a dumpster, and it mostly works! As you can see, the pedal board is missing, but the metal tabs that allow for interfacing are still there. Anyway, I want to hack this thing out. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do with it?
Also, if anyone knows where a user or service manual for one of these exists in PDF or something, post it! It’ll probably make figuring out what to do with it easier!

From the MAKE Instructables group comes this tutorial from fallscrape on how to make a beating soapy love heart. Just add a blinky LED throwie (minus the magnet) and use a heart shaped soap mold. Link.

Jason writes in with this cool periodic table of tools from ReadyMade… -
“While browsing a site linked in an Instructable I was referred to by the Make blog, I came across this Periodic Table of Hardware. If that ain’t Make material, I don’t know what is!” - Link & @ the ReadyMade store.
I’m not sure I’d buy a poster, but I certainly might arrange some tools on a peg board like this!

This is a WARNING. Do NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES point this at anybody or any living creature. It’s a very strong little pen shooter, and can leave more than a mark. I am not going to held accountable for your actions, so if you are not mature enough to handle this carefully… turn away NOW.
Now for the good stuff
This is a fun and easy (and cheap) little toy that I invented the other day. It’s very strong and shoots very far.
What you’ll need:
1 Office Depot Ballpoint pen - very cheap — 1 dozen for $0.89
(this might work with other pens, but I haven’t tried)
1 Rubber band of medium length
Some String
Scissors

Lenore from Evil Mad Scientist writes -
“Last year at the Maker Faire they gave away nifty canvas tote bags that have nice large handles and are a great shape and size.
The recent call for proposals for this year’s Maker Faire has just reminded us (1) that we need to choose a project to submit (we brought our dining table last year), and (2) that we were going to do something cool with that bag! Some time ago, it was suggested in this instructable that there be a Make Bag Re-Make contest this year. In that spirit, we are providing this guide to improving your bag and making it a little more useful. We have added a zipper closure and pockets and loops for pens, tools, business cards, an mp3 player, and of course, our favorite slipstick.” - Link.

I take pride in my ramen Noodle flux. Not one ramen noodle has passed through me for over two years and I have had maybe three bowls since starting college. I think we can forgive some naiive choices as a freshmen
My budget, is still the same. So I have been forced to compromise with some of my most favorite recipes. Finding cheaper alternatives, substitute recipes and at one time I had to come up with alternative cooking methods (brownies from scratch in the microwave? Absolutely!).
Stromboli, unlike pizza and calzone, is a sauce less roll filled with mozzarella and vegetables or meat (or both).
This makes a perfect side or appetizer to the romantic dinner you’re planning for your girl/boy friend (perhaps go for higher quality ingredients). Plus, you can giggle while saying stromboli because it’s just so much fun to say
