This is basically a small air convection heater for my chicken coop that is powered by the low angle winter sun. Got the idea from Mother Earth News (December/January 2007 Issue #219) and wanted to test a small version before I build a big one on my garage. When I tested this in the yard it was partly cloudy and 35 degrees F outside, after a few minutes the air temp coming out of the box was 57 degrees F. I can’t believe how easy this was to build and how well it works.
